Academic Institute of Shompashi was established almost 38 years ago; this noble endeavour was initiated to provide a service to the Holy Qur’an. This institution takes into account the great need of propagating Islamic knowledge to the community. It has been a centre of educational excellence, over the decades it has produced outstanding scholars who are serving the Muslim communities both in Bangladesh and abroad. It provides an opportunity to attain the best level of education within the scholarly arena and spiritual realm of Islam.

The institute has been solely funded thus far by the founder and patron, along with the generous contribution of the local residents and close friends of the institution. However, it is independent in all its affairs; its most treasured assets are the students and the graduates who have ensured that its reputation remains intact and high permitting us to sketch out the future of the institution with optimum flexibility. The institution has strived to provide the very best in teaching which results in the graduates that we produce to lead the next generation of Ummah.

The graduates of the institution have furthered themselves acquiring further qualifications; some have become Ulemas, whilst others have continued to teach in high positions throughout the country and abroad.
